Oak Jung ho is a photographer and video artist based on performance. The artist investigates the “uncomfortable feeling of irritation” from daily lives and the real situation in Korean society. His performances are divided into “gestures of empty tragedy” and “gestures of empty comedy.” It is like the face and back of a coin or as a mirror image. He uses ambiguous gestures such as” take-off” to present his work because unfortunate reality cannot testify via abjectness itself. He has had eight in shows and over 60 group exhibitions.
